Preah Vihear Temple and the Conflicts at Thai Cambodian Border
Noppadon Pattama, a former personal official lawyer of ex-PM Thaksin Shinawatra, took a Minister of Foreign Affair office in Thaksin's proxy cabinet for a special mission to finish a secret deal between Thaksin and Hun Sen, the current PM of Cambodia.
Thaksin has personally acquired a concession for a casino and entertainment complex business in Cambodian territory's Kok Kong and probably advancing to petroleum natural gas concession in the Cambodian's sea border. A conspiray between Thaksin and Hun Sen for Thaksin's assets in Cambodia at the expense of Thailand's territory is widely believed in Thailand.
Noppadon, under Samak's cabinet's later approval, too eagerly and stealthily signed an official supporting document, a joint communique to actively assist Cambodia to list with UNESCO, the long disputable temple, without reporting to the public and approval from the House of Parliament, thus violating the constitution. When leaked to the public, it aroused the patriotism among Thais and strong reactions to protest Samak's government nationwide.
