Announcement Number 1/2009 March 30, 2009 Warning of Ignorance to the Threats Undermining the Monarchy
( Last edit 2009-03-30 )
Following the rally of supporters of the sentenced-to-jail fugitive criminal, Thaksin Shinawatra from Thursday March 26, 2009 which had live-televised broadcasts of the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra giving propaganda speeches slandering the President and other members of the Privy Council and the court, the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and the supporters maliciously accused the honourable President of the Privy Council who is also a statesman to be "the extraordinary authority above the constitution" who interferes with politics, bureaucrats, and the courts. They also wickedly accused the President of the Supreme Administrative Court, Constitution Tribunals and a member of the Privy Council who is an ex-President in the Supreme Court of Justice to be conspirators to abolition of the governments in Thaksin regime. The accusation is wholly groundless, based upon rumours without evidence and accountability.
All the propaganda campaigns are tricks to discredit the judicial system and a bluff for Thaksin's way out to launder the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies for amnesty and reassume their frozen wealthy assets. The accusations are by no means the actual causes to rise up for the people or democracy.
The sentenced-to-jail fugitive criminal, Thaksin Shinawatra, apart from fleeing the sentence which is an agression against the court's verdict carried out in the name of the King, a group of Thaksin's lawyers also had been sentenced by the Supreme Court to jail without probation because of 50,000 USD bribery of the court's officers. Relentlessly, the politicians and gangsters in Thaksin regime pose barbarous threats to the independent check-and-balance institutes (as stipulated by the constitution). Therefore, the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies are the ones who do not only disrespect but also interfere with the judiciary system.
Whereas the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra maliciaoulsy accuses Thai judiciary system of being interfered and unjust whenever he lost his cases, on the other hand he shamelessly use Thai judiciary processes to hunt others down with libel charges. These are proofs that the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra just pursues private ends and never accepts his own mistake.
The sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra claims that he does not implicate the Monarchy whereas all of his targets, the President and members of the Privy Council, the courts are bodies involved in the structures of the Royal authority.
The speeches on Thaksin's rally stage comprise of verbal attacks, defamation, and propaganda which are not limited to certain laypersons but implicate the Monarchy institute and the Privy Council which correspond to preceding movements and attempts to amend the constitution in order to decrease the Royal authority by complete abolition of the Privy Council. There have been organized campaign movements to abolition of lese majeste law in parallel with continuous and repeated serious intentional threats, libels and intimidation upon the Monarchy.
The sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies intend to, at first, individually destoy persons and the bodies under the Royal authority to eventually undermine the Monarchy establisment later.
General Prem Tinnasulanon is a statesman who is trusted by HM the King to be the President of the Privy Council. General Prem, being honest, have long created exceptionally great benefactions to the country. The fabrication of rudeness, lies and accuses upon General Prem Tinnasulanon by the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies are therefore baseless and unacceptable.
People's Alliance for Democracy then has the following resolutions.
1.We condemn the acts of the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies.
2.With doubts to the pre-court judiciary processes, however, People's Alliance for Democracy remaining to have trust and respect in Thai courts which proceed in the name of the Monarchy, therefore, is ready to be testified and ready to accept any court sentences with neither fleeing nor claiming for amnesty. As a result, the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra and his cronies must accept the trials, the verdicts and the punishments in all corruption cases without calling for amnesty.
3.We urge the government to revoke his passports and bring back the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra to serve his sentence in Thailand. We also urge the government to follow all 13 items in our announcement 29/2008, of December 12, 2008.
4.We urge the government to declare all the facts and corruption cases of Thaksin regime through state media and most urgently reform the media.
5.We urge the government and the military to carry out the duty as stipulated by the 2007 Constitution of Thailand article 77 that is to protect the Monarchy, state's security and the constitutional monarchy democracy. The ignorance to undermining of the Privy Council and the Monarchy is against the conscience and the constitution.
6.We urge the government to immediately halt the televlsed broadcasting of the sentenced-to-jail Thaksin Shinawatra because of the fugitive criminals' propaganda have irresponsibly defamed the national judiciary system and will eventually encroach upon the national security.
