Announcement Number 4/2012 June 1, 2012
( Last edit 2012-06-01 )
On June 1, 2012 at 17:55, Mr.Parnthep Puapongpan, PAD's speaker read the 4/2012 announcement on the rally stage in front of the parliament. PAD announces a victory in pressuring the parliament to postpone deliberation of the Reconciliation Act, and also a big thank to the Constitutional Court to temporarily postpone the abolition of the 2007's Constitution. They temporary call off the rally and would step up to pressurize the government by another rally at the Makawan bridge on June 5, 2012 from 15:00 onward until the government would give up attempt to launder Thaksin. From Manager Online
Following PAD's rally from May 30 to June 1, 2012 according to the announcement No.3/2012 titled "Reformation of Thailand and Determination of the Next Move" on May 26, 2012 at Lumpini Hall, Lumpini Park, PAD's core leaders wish to thank brothers and sisters who supported and joined the rally to achieve another highly successful victory in the history, which enable a halt to the deliberation of the drafts of the Reconciliation Act on the whole day of Friday 1, 2012 to postpone to June 6-7, 2012.
Therefore, we formally announce that the rally between May 30 to June 1, 2012 is obviously another victorious step of brothers and sisters who join the rally of PAD.
Additionally, as for the government MPs who propose the law to abolish the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand BE 2555, by amending article 291 of the constitution, apparently in the afternoon of June 1, 2012, the Constitutional Court Judges pass a resolution to accept the plaint and order the House of Representatives to hold the deliberation. We would like to thank the Constitutional Court Judges who help to prevent the abolition of the constitution in time before voting in the third round which would certainly create a lot of damages.
From the above situation, PAD would like to set the next moves as follows.
1. Since the MPs assembly to deliberate the law to launder people in Thaksin's regime has been stopped and would resume in the morning of June 6 and 7, 2012. Moreover, the time between June 2 and 4, 2012 is for Buddhists to make merit on Wisakabucha day. Therefore, PAD core leaders pass a resolution to close the rally stage after this announcement onward and would like to ask brother and sister ralliers to go home and have a good rest to be prepared for the next rally.
2. PAD's core leaders see that the drafts of the Reconciliation Act are under the responsibility of the House of Representatives as well as the PM who is the leader of the government which comes from the majority in the House of Representatives. Since the government MPs still want to continue to deliberate on this law, therefore, the rally should be stepped up to camping out at Makawanrangsan Bridge from June 5, 2012 at 15:00 onward, with flexibility to march anywhere depending on the situation.
3. From tonight until June 5, 2012, if brothers and sisters want to camp out in Bangkok, please join Dharma Army Foundation at King Rama V Royal Plaza.
