The King's Speech in Supreme Court Judges Inauguration, April 26,2010

April 26, 2010 at 17:27, His Majesty the King proceded to the meeting hall on the 14th floor of the Royal Honour building, Siriraj Hospital in order that Mr.Sobchok Sukarom, the President of the Supreme Court would bring one hundred and one judges of the court of justice to attend an audience and take an inauguration oath. Mr.Wiraj Chinwinijkul, the secretary of the bureau of the court of justice, Mr.Pairoj Nawanuj, chief judge in the Appeal Court in the bureau of the Supreme Court, Mr.Worawut Twatasin, the secretariat of the Supreme Court President and Mr.Sarawut Benjakul, the deputy secretariat of the bureau of the court of justice were also attending the audience.
His Majesty the King gave a speech of advice as follows,"This inauguration oath of the Supreme Court judges is an important occasion because it demonstrates the intention to carry out the duty of judges which is important to the lives of the people. You all will maintain the justice, the peace and the order of the country. It is very important. If you carry out as strictly as vowed, it will certainly help make peace for the country.
In this country, it is very crucial that people should strictly carry out their duties because, apart from the resulting peace and order, it also shows that there are officers in this country who have serious determination to perform the duties and are determined to defend the peace and order of the country which in turn would make the general citizens have determination in themselves to honestly perform their tasks.
I believe what you do as good examples of judges would persuade the public to strictly and honestly carry out the tasks. Therefore, your acceptance of the duties will be good for the country to perform and the citizens of the nation perform with strict honesty.
In this country, there may be some people who forget their duties. You may be examples that there are people who carry out the tasks strictly and honestly. Therefore, you have very important duty. Having vowed to strictly defend the justice, you will best help the public successfully carry out their duties and with honesty.
Being honest is not easy because, in our lives, there are a lot of temptations. Therefore, your oath is crucial which would always remind you to perform the duties honestly. If there are people who do it right and well with determination and concentration, then, it would help others to be good.
Therefore, your oath is crucial that you would perform honestly and seriously. If you maintain the honesty all the time with your duty and all your life, it shows that there are some people who maintain the peace and order of the country. I wish you success to keep your determination all the time as vowed, in order to be examples for the whole country. I wish you have the strong will to honestly perform the duty as vowed. Please keep the honesty as you have just vowed. It is the certain way to help the country develop to stability. Also, you will be considered the examples for the public, the bureacrats, and other officers who would take care of the country to be calm, peaceful, vigourously in working and successful in achieving everybody's hapiness.
Please keep the oath assiduously. I believe that you would be happy to perform your good duties. I wish you perform the duties with honesty as vowed to take part in building up the nation. At the same time, you build yourself up to be good and successful. I wish you perform the duties successfully throughout your lives and succeed in your careers which would be the highest wishes of the elite of the nation, judges. I wish you the successes in your work and at the same time your hapiness in the your work achievement. I wish you such successes.
