( Last edit 2009-04-17 )
On April 15, 2009 Mr.Samai Jaroenchang, Democrat party MP of Bangkok,
said that he as a Muslim and some other Islamic organizations in Thailand would petition The Embassy of United Arab Emirates to inform the Governor of Dubai to extradite Thaksin and withdraw all supports to Thaksin. He would like United Arab Emirates which is an Islamic state to be informed about the sufferings of Muslims as direct effects from Thaksin Shinawatra and his supporters as follows:
- Abductions and murders of Muslim imams.
- Unaccountable disappearance of Mr.Somchai Neelapaijit, the leading Muslim lawyer who represents Muslim defendants in the 3 southernmost provinces.
- The reign of the red-terror, night of April 13 when red mobsters rioted throughout Bangkok, rampaging and injuring Muslim neighbourhoods on Petchburi 7 road.
- Gunshots by red-shirt gang at the Mosque which is the supreme sign of Islam. Previously, Muslims had not been invloved in the riots but Thaksin and his supporters wanted chaos, all-out riots and extensive unrests all over the country.
Thaksin's Atrosity to Muslims in Thailand CLICK
On April 16, 2009 in front of Seng Thong Thani Building, (near the headquarter City Bank Building) North Sathorn Road, Bangkok, about 300 Islamic Thais led by Mr.Pakdi Ma-Ae rallied to submit petition to the United Arab Emirates Embassy, which is on the 32nd Floor of the building.
The document, in Arabic, was submitted to the acting Ambassador, Mr.Muhammad Yusuf Muhammad, the charge d'affaires of United Arab Emirates to Thailand. The demonstrators request UAE to extradite Thaksin Shinawatra who has been comfortably taking refuge in Dubai where he stations a command post for his malicious broadcast of propaganda instigating Thais to be divisive with hatred.
It was a peaceful rally, showing their unity and banners demanding Thaksin to stop hurting Thailand.
Previously, the sentenced-to-jail fugitive Thaksin in Dubai, has been campaigning for the red-shirt mobs to riot all over the country, particularly in Bangkok. The rally is a result of red-shirt mob's attempts to cause turmoils and paranoia in the Muslim community of Petchburi Soi 7 in the Urupong area during arson attacks and rampaging campaign by the red-shirt gangsters. Islamic Thais consider the red-shirt's intentional attack against the Muslim community, particularly firing at the respectful Mosque, a definite attack on Muslim worldwide.
