April 18, 2009
United Thai Assembly of North America (UTANA)
P.O.BOX 1346 Chino Hills, CA 91709
The use of numerous military weapons in attempt to assassinate Koon Sondhi Limthongkul at dawn of April 17, 2009 was undoubtedly to kill. By whoever, for whatever reasons, it was a barbarous malicious and cruel acts which utterly defied the state. It also stamped another devastating blow to ruin the country into more troubles and may lead to turmoils and havoc. The conspirators can therefore be considered as traitors to the motherland and deserved a condemnation and a curse to suffer the losts in all aspects of their lives.
It was truely the heaven's will that Koon Sondhi Limthongkul miraculously survived the incidence against the conspirators wish. The United Thai Assembly of North America would like to express concerns to Koon Sondhi and the other two injured. May all the virtues protect them and help recouperation in no time.
The outrageous incidence took place in the center of Bangkok while under the state of emergency decree which is supposed to enforce during a critical time. Therefore, it is a directly defyant act against the state authority and the leadership of the Premier Abhisit Vejjajiva. In order to efficiently rectify the crises to rapidly lead the country back to normal, the United Thai Assembly of North America would like to submit these proposals to the Premier as follows.
1. Solve the internal troubles which have weakened and incapacitated the government by replacing the inefficient and ignorant Ministers, particularly the ones who are in charge of security and communication since they were responsible for the escalation of the violence.
2. Solve the state mechanisms particularly of the military and the police in which apparently have shown conflicts and non-uniformity in execution of the tasks and cooperation with the government in securing laws and order of the country. The public has casted doubts on these state officers in terms of their loyalty and the patriotism as opposed to other probable malicious conspiracy.
3. Rapidly take strict legal actions against the rioters, arsonists, saboteurs who planned to ruin the country. Rapidly and by all available means bring back the fugitive, male-convicted, traitors' chief Thaksin Shinawatra to unconditionally serve the sentences.
4. The government must support People's movements to take part in defending the country from this crisis.
The United Thai Assembly of North America would like to express our supports and best wishes to PM Abhisit Vejjajiva to bravely endure on the right path to lead Thailand back to peace in no time.
