Thaksin, the Enemy of Muslims I
( Last edit 2009-04-22 )
Translated from Interview Articles of Thai Muslims News Agency
On April 14, 2009, the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section and Masjid Darul Aman arranged a press announcement to condemn red-shirts who had rampaged Kingpetch lane. Thaksin was also seen involved as the head of the terrorists with malicious intention toward Islam, therefore a petition was submitted to Emirates Ambassador for extradited from Dubai.
On that day, several local and national politicians from Democrat party as well as directors of the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section, came to give a very warm support to the people in the Kingpetch community, for example: Mr.Samai Jaroenchang, Bangkok MP; Mrs.Nataya Benjasiriwan, Bangkok MP; Dr.Wanlop Suwandee, vice Bangkok Governor; Mr.Aroon Boonchom, the President of the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section; Mr.Jaroen Tomangee, Committee of Islam, Bangkok section; Mr.Manit Saengthong Imam of Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai.
Mr.Manit Saengthong Imam of Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai said "In the name of Masjid Payathai, I express my thanks to all of you. This Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai....about 16:00 of yesterday (April 13), was the time for Lamad Asri which was a regular Lamad which all Muslims must practise this religious obligations."
"At the same time while we were carrying out the religious obligations, there appeared to be malicious agressors who wanted to destroy the religious site which is the Masjid which we all love and care and we all have to come for religious practice. The incidence also took place because of someones wanted to attack Muslim brothers and sisters."
"Yesterday all the red shirts came to shoot at the official name plate of the lane number 7. I will have to see what size of the bullet it is. The shops in front of the Masjid Petchburi were also rampaged, together with the residences, the signboard of the Masjid Darul Aman, the shops besides the Masjid's lane. Then, they came to shoot at the Masjid, at the upstairs window. A motorcycle was also set alight. A car parked nearby was also burnt. Everything, the car, the sites were apparently destroyed. These are facts of yesterday."
"The incidence also proved the feelings of brothers and sisters Muslims and other religions in this lane (community). Together, we live with love and unity. Last night, everyone who lives in this lane, no matter foreigners or various dialects and languages, Indians, Pakistaneses, Malay, southerners, they all came out (to help defend the community).
Mr.Manit Saengthong Imam of Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai said "Brothers and sisters Muslims came out, discussed and gave support. They patrolled throughout the night. They did not sleep for the whole night, being on guard. When the military came in for protection. It was a comfort in which late that night we could take some rest."
He continued, "But at the begining of the night (April 13) it was us who looked after ourselves. Until now, I think everyone is also tired but remains here. I wish Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, please help protect us to be safe and all we wish to safe of the Masjid."
Though this Masjid is directly under our care, brothers and sisters not of this Ban Krua neighbourhood, came to help. For example, Masjid Haroon, Masjid from Thonburi, a lot of people from Banglampoo, Suanploo, Ban Somdej, Klong Tan, Ban Don, Prapradaeng, Paklad, even from Khon khaen, they all came to look after us. The children in this lane (community) also helped our brothers and sisters in this neighbourhood of Petchburi Soi 7. Now, I would like to invite teacher Samai Jaroenchang to talk to my brothers and sisters."
Mr.Samai Jaroenchang, Member of the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section and Bangkok MP said, "Asalam u alaikum warah matul lahi wabarakatuh Bismillah-hir-Rahmanir Rahim...." and said, "We in the name of Muslim Thais are depressed in what happened at Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai. The incidence was unimaginable and considered to be tragedies affecting Muslim Thais' feelings, since we had never expected our brother Thais would have malicious hatred toward our own brotherhood citizens."
"It was only differences in political thoughts and ideologies which spreaded to the extent that human mobs were intentionally used as shields to protect their crimes. Having not enough popular support, they turned vicious and threatening with violence to harm (innocences) as recently described by Imam Manit Saengthong of Masjid Darul Aman. Gunshots were fired at people's residences. Motorcycles were burnt. A private car parked in the lane was struck. A notice board of Masjid, the official name board of the lane, and a final round of sporadic shots into several people's residences."
"Worst of all were the shots to the Masjid. As for this matter, I and all of us, in the name of Muslim Thais, have to come out to call for the government, the administrators, to invesitgate and punish the culprits."
"The hurt of Masjid is the hurt on all Muslims. Masjid architectures are houses of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, our God who said in his Great Al Koran that in fact every Masjid is the sole rights of God that is Allah. There is no one else sharing with God. He is the one who owns all Masjids and governs all Masjids. You all do not ask for help from others at the same time as asking from Allah. I quote from a paragraph of the Great Al Koran."
"Because of the phrase, all of the pain from this incidence will bury deep in all six million Muslims in Thailand. This kind of incidence is not the first in Thailand. It is the second. The first time was the incidence when Masjid Kru Se was bombarded with military weapons. The Masjid was heavily damaged. All 28 Muslim youths were instataneously killed. It was a tragedy during Thaksin Shinawatra's Prime Minister term. The pain is still in memory of Muslims throughout the country and all over the world."
"Yesterday was the second time when the Masjid of Allah was violated once again. It was so much painful that we urge all Muslims in the country to beaware of the traitors who ruin the peace of the country, official assets, tourism industry, businesses and enterprises, overall economy and worst of all the religion which we all dearly love and utmost respect. May all Muslims children remember these events."
"Whoever carried out or masterminded or paid for such incidences, may they all be punished by God. We all feel and would like to condemn via the media once again. We hope all brother and sister Thais understand our feelings."
"If a temple in Buddhism of brother and sister Buddhists were subjected to the similar deeds, if a Roman Catholic church of Christians or churches of Protestants or Confucian Buddhism Shrine were subjected to the similar deeds by the red-shirts, how can brothers and sisters be tolerable."
"This matter necessitate our unity to stand for the righteousness, the virtue. We do not want to be an enemy of anyone because our God says, "All friends are brothers and sisters." But today, the invaders have utmost violated the honours and dignity of Islam. We have to stand up and say that you are the enemy of God. You are the enemy of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala."
Mr.Samai continued, "We shall call for all Muslim nations not to open the door to welcome you because you are a criminal and the enemy of God. I will ask a permission for teacher Jaroean Tomangee who is a member of the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section and in the names of the whole Muslims in the country to submit a letter to the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Thailand to proceed with a fugitive criminal who is behind the turmoils in Thailand and the enemy of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala. Please teacher Jaroean Tomangee read the document."
Jaroean Tomangee a member of the Committee of Islam, Bangkok section said, "Asalam u alaikum warah matul lahi wabarakatuh. All honourable brothers and sisters, the document which I am reading is originally in Arabic which will be submitted to the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Thailand to be passed to the Governor of the United Arab Emirates. The contents are as follows."
Committee of Islam, Bangkok section,
April 14, 2009
18 Rabiul Akher 1430
Title: Request for Extradition of the Head of Terrorists Who Destroys Islam
To: Your Excellency, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to Thailand
We, on behalf of brother and sister Muslims in the Kingdom of Thailand, in the names of the servants of Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, would like to request your excellency to convey our feelings to inform the Governor of Dubai to know that the brothers and sisters Muslims in the Kingdom of Thailand are being very much in sufferrings from the ex-PM Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra and his followers who instigate Thai people to be divisive and hating at each others. Particularly, they instigate hatred of the non-Muslim majority toward brother and sister Muslims.
As for the unrest in the southern provinces of the Kingdom of Thailand, namely Pattani, Yala and Narathiwas, it originated from unduely abuse of power by Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra and his subordinates. There were abductions, murders, physical harms to the assets and bodies of several thousands of brother and sister Muslims, including imams, Islam religion teachers and Muslim lawyers.
There was a massacre of 28 brother Muslims in Masjid Kru Se, Town district, Pattani province and a massacre of more than 100 brother Muslims during the fasting month of Ramadan in front of a police station at Takbai district Narathiwas province. [ CLICK FOR DETAIL OF ATROSITY AGAINST MUSLIMS DURING THAKSIN's PM TERM ]
Now, Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra is ousted from the authority in Thailand because the majority of Thais do not want the leader who ordered murders of innocent people and abused his power with all kinds of vicious methods to oppress people who have different opinions. However, Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra still continuously manipulates his followers to ruin the country and hurt the people. His red-shirts movements sabotaged to destroy a Masjid and rampaged people's properties on April 13, 2009 (17 Rabiul Akher 1430). At asri time, "red-shirt" followers of Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra fired shots at Masjid Darul Aman on Petchburi Lane7, Rajthevi district, Bangkok. More than a hundred of them rampaged the assets of brother and sister Muslims including houses, residences, vehicles. Finally, they announced to burn down the Masjid but brother and sister Muslims, at their best effort, joined hands to fight back all of the followers of Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra and managed to expel them.
From all such behaviours of Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra, we, Muslims in Thailand, call for, by the name of the greatest kind Allah, to the Governor of Dubai. Please consider. From now on, please stop support to, or allow him to stay, or allow him to enter your country since Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin, head of terrorists, maliciously acts against brother and sister Muslims, destroys Masjids of Allah, ordered massacre and genocide of Muslims in the south of Thailand.
Most importantly, he is the destroyer of Islam in Thailand with two incidences of shooting at Masjids in Pattani and in Bangkok, and a massacre of over a hundred of Muslims in Narathiwas province during the fasting month of Ramadan. He is the actual "Enemy of Allah".
Wa Bilahit taufiq wal Hidayah wa asslam alaikum wa rahmatul lahi wabarakatuh", Mr.Jaroen said.
Mr.Ahamad Kamthesthong, The President of Muslim Mass Media, talked to Thai Muslims News Agency as some Muslims leaders expressed disagreement to condemn the April-13 Shooters of Payathai Masjid. Mr.Ahamad said, "As of Kingpetch Masjid incidence, it was not supposed to occur. In politics, we may have different opinions. It is a matter of rights and freedom. However, the exercise of the someone's rights and freedom whereby encroaching others' freedom, I say, this is not democratic. It is out of limits. Obviously, at Masjid Darul Aman, Payathai, there were several dozens of red-shirts mobsters who rampaged as follows:
1. At the entrance of the lane, they shot at the name board of the lane.
2. Into the lane, they struck the car which parked in front of Masjid. They broke the glass windows of the shops, vandalized around and broke the notice board of Masjid.
3. They shot into the Masjid. The shooting into the Masjid was really awful. Incidentally, at that moment, it was the time for Lamad Asri. Therefore, there was nobody walking around. Otherwise, the shooting must have hit somebody because a lot of people would be walking about."
"To make it short, whoever the red-shirt mobs are mad at, they should not destroy the Masjid. They should not fire at Masjid which is the house of God."
"Therefore, people have come to express
1. a demonstration to support brother and sister Muslims of Masjid Darul Aman
2. the mental support for each other
3. to condemn the shooters of the Masjid"
"They did not only rampage but they also declared that they would return to set fire on the Masjid" "I suspect the mobsters were agitated and instigated. Who is the highest chief of the mobs? You can guess." To a question of what the benefit would be from shooting at a Masjid, Mr.Ahamad replied,"Who is the commander? I do not know. Certainly, the mobs had a commander. All of a sudden, the mobs came here (Masjid Payathai). It was just impossible without a commander. All other obvious evidences and phenomena were several buses which were set alight and several LPG trucks were prepared for arson explosions with a view to light Bangkok up in sea of flames."
Pua-Thai MP, Mr.Wichan Meenchainan's Fabrication of Lies
An Article From Manager.co.th
Wichan brought a Muslim, Mr.Suksan Kasetkalam said to be a representative of Muslims from Ban Krua, Kingpetch and Mahanak to a press release.
Mr.Suksan said that he was the eye-witness of the event on April 13, 2009. He saw the mobs were brutally dispersed by the military at the Din Daeng junction. From what he saw, the soldiers did not apply force in step-wise manner. Three teargas cannisters were fired at the protesters and shots were fired into the sky. The red-shirt protesters were pushed backward to Kingpetch community and Raj Prarop. There are some people in the Lane 7 of Pethcburi, Jaroenpol community and Mahanak community who used to join PAD and does not like red-shirts. These people provoked others to confront red-shirts who tried to run away but the soldiers still shot and forced the red-shirts to move against the community.
As of the malicious acts against Muslims by the ex-PM Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin Shinawatra, I believe that is not true because Pol.Lieut.Col.Thaksin has always supported Muslims. One was promoted to be the Minister of Interior. General Sondhi Bunyaratklin was the first Muslim to be promoted to the Army chief.
Mr.Suksan is a definite red-shirt protester who joined the rally at the Din Daeng junction. That is why he witnessed the dispersal of the rally there. There was an LPG truck hijacked by red-shirts mobsters ready to be set on fire, surrounded by several burnt down buses blocking the junction. The junction is one of a vital traffic site and a dense residential area near several blocks of residential flats. It was a serious threat of a huge flaming explosion to ten of thousands of innocent people around the junction. The rally of the red-shirt along several roads are also not peaceful.
The junction must be safely secured by the military to safe lives of innocent people. Water canon, soldiers with batons and shields were used to approach the red-shirts. Only rifles' shots into the sky and rare teargas canisters were fired without killing any of the armed and violent protesters.
It is never justifiable for the runaway red-shirt mobsters to shoot at Masjid and to rampage the Muslim community since they have other main roads to runaway. In fact, the Muslims community faced waves of systematic and scary red-shirts attack, not scared runaway red-shirts.
Promotion of Muslims to top rank officers also does not justify and cannot explain shooting to kill 28 youth at Masjid Kru Se and more than a hundred killing at Tak Bai during Thaksin's PM's term.
